We carry DNP thermal transfer ribbons in wax, wax/resin and resin, sized for Zebra, Datamax, Sato, Intermec, Printronix and TEC printers. Listings show the width, length, core size, ink side and printer family, so you can match a ribbon to your printer, then pick the formulation that suits your labels.
Pick the formulation by label material
- Paper and tag, normal handling: V4085plus wax (formerly TR4085plus). Half Inch wax for 1/2"-core desktop printers.
- Paper and films, some scratch or outdoor exposure: V200 wax/resin (UV resistant), TRX-55 wax/resin (adds solvent resistance; BS5609 listed by DNP), TRX-50 for economy synthetics.
- Polyester, polypropylene, polyimide, chemicals: V300 resin, R300 resin (solvent resistant; BS5609 listed), TR4070 classic resin, R510HF ultra-durable halogen-free resin, R316 specialty resin.
- White and metallic: TR3370 and R510W white resins for dark labels and PVC shrink tubing; VR301 metallic gold and silver.
- Near-edge (TTO) printheads: TR4500, formulated for Tyvek®.
The Versatility Series
DNP's Versatility Series (V4085plus, V200, V300; Versatility Defined®) is built so a few ribbons cover most label jobs, which means fewer ribbon swaps between runs. Start there if you're not sure.
