Frequently asked questions
What cards does the ZC300 print on?
Standard CR80 (credit-card size) and CR79 PVC or PVC-composite cards, 10 to 40 mil thick, including adhesive-back and writable-back cards. The feeder adjusts to card thickness on the fly.
Which ribbons does it use?
The ZC300 works only with genuine Zebra ribbon cartridges. Each cartridge has a smartchip, so the printer calibrates itself and tells you when to change it. A cleaning roller comes with each ribbon.
Can it encode magnetic stripe cards?
Yes, on models with the magnetic stripe encoder: ISO 7811, tracks 1 to 3, high and low coercivity, new and pre-encoded cards.
What warranty does it have?
Zebra gives the ZC300 a three-year limited warranty on the printer and printhead. Zebra OneCare plans extend coverage.
How fast is dual-sided printing?
Up to 140 full-color (YMCKOK) or 450 monochrome dual-sided cards per hour; single-sided, up to 200 color or 900 monochrome.
Does it connect to a network?
Yes. USB and 10/100 Ethernet are standard, and select models add 802.11ac Wi-Fi.
