The ZD621d-HC premium desktop printer is built specifically for healthcare environments, with disinfectant-ready white plastics, UV-resistant housing with sealed button interface, IEC 60601-1 compliant power supply, and a full color touch LCD.

What is the difference between the ZD621d-HC and ZD621t-HC?

The ZD621d-HC is direct thermal only, so it needs no ribbon, and it is the only one offered with a locking media cabinet. The ZD621t-HC prints thermal transfer with a ribbon (up to 300 m), or direct thermal without one.

What can it print in a hospital or clinic?

Prescription labels, lab and specimen labels, patient ID wristbands, blood and IV bag labels, patient record labels and asset labels.

What media sizes fit?

Media from 0.585 to 4.25 in wide and up to 39 in long, on rolls up to 5 in outer diameter with 0.5 in or 1 in cores (1.5, 2 or 3 in with optional adapters). It prints up to 4.27 in wide at 300 dpi.

What connectivity does it have?

Every ZD621-HC has Ethernet, USB 2.0, USB Host and Serial, plus Bluetooth LE for the Zebra setup app. Wireless models add dual-radio Wi-Fi with Bluetooth.

Which programming languages does it support?

What does the locking media cabinet do?

It locks the media compartment with a mechanical lock and two keys and adds a Kensington lock slot, so label stock such as prescription labels stays secure.

Should I choose 203 dpi or 300 dpi?

203 dpi (8 dots/mm) is the standard for shipping labels, barcodes and most product labels. 300 dpi (12 dots/mm) prints sharper small text, small barcodes, 2D codes and logos, so it suits small labels such as electronics, healthcare and jewelry labels. 600 dpi (24 dots/mm) is for very small, high-detail labels.
