Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the ZD411d and ZD411t?
The ZD411d is direct thermal only, so it needs no ribbon. The ZD411t prints thermal transfer with a 74 m ribbon, or direct thermal without one.
What is the difference between the ZD411 and ZD611?
Both are 2-inch printers. The ZD611 prints faster (8 in/s at 203 dpi versus 6 in/s), has Ethernet standard, and the thermal transfer model adds a 4.3 in color touch display and a media dancer.
What label sizes fit?
Media from 0.585 to 2.36 in wide and 0.25 to 39 in long, such as 2 x 1 in and 2.25 x 1.25 in labels. It prints up to 2.2 in wide at 203 dpi.
What roll size and core fit?
Rolls up to 5 in outer diameter on 0.5 in or 1 in cores, and 1.5, 2 or 3 in cores with optional adapters.
What connectivity does it have?
Every ZD411 has USB 2.0 and USB Host, plus Bluetooth LE for the Zebra setup app. Ethernet, Serial and dual-radio Wi-Fi with Bluetooth are available by model or as field-installable kits.
What does TAA compliant mean?
This model meets the Trade Agreements Act, which US federal agencies require for most purchases: it is made or substantially transformed in the US or a designated country.
Can it run on battery?
Yes. An optional battery powers a full shift at maximum print speed, so the printer can go on a cart to the point of use.
What warranty does it have?
Zebra warrants ZD400 Series printers for 2 years from shipment. Zebra OneCare plans extend coverage.
