Frequently asked questions
Who is the ZT510 for?
Operations that need an all-metal, 24/7 industrial printer at a lower cost than the ZT600 Series. It replaces the Zebra 105SLPlus and keeps the core features without the extras.
How does the ZT510 compare with the ZT411 and ZT610?
All three print 4 in wide. The ZT510 runs up to 12 in/s with a backlit keypad display. The ZT411 adds a color touch display and up to 14 in/s; the ZT610 adds 600 dpi, a color touch display and up to 14 in/s for the heaviest duty cycles.
Can I change the resolution later?
Yes. The ZT510 can be converted between 203 and 300 dpi in the field by swapping the printhead.
What label sizes fit?
Media 0.79 to 4.5 in wide, printed up to 4.09 in wide, with continuous printing up to 100 in at 300 dpi.
What roll and ribbon sizes fit?
Label rolls up to 8 in outer diameter on 3 in cores, and 1,476 ft (450 m) ribbons on 1 in cores, 2 to 4.33 in wide.
What connectivity does it have?
USB, RS-232 Serial, Gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth LE come standard, plus NFC for pairing with Android devices. Two open slots take an 802.11ac Wi-Fi card, parallel or a second Ethernet port.
What warranty does it have?
Zebra warrants the ZT510 against defects in workmanship and materials for 1 year from shipment. Zebra OneCare plans extend coverage and can add printheads, normal wear and accidental breakage.
What print resolutions does the Zebra ZT510 come in?
The Zebra ZT510 comes in 203 dpi and 300 dpi. This page lists the 300 dpi models. See Zebra ZT510 — 203 dpi Models.
Should I choose 203 dpi or 300 dpi?
203 dpi (8 dots/mm) is the standard for shipping labels, barcodes and most product labels. 300 dpi (12 dots/mm) prints sharper small text, small barcodes, 2D codes and logos, so it suits small labels such as electronics, healthcare and jewelry labels. 600 dpi (24 dots/mm) is for very small, high-detail labels.
